Revisiting the Falklands-Malvinas Question

Guillermo Mira, investigador del Instituto de Iberomérica y profesor de Historia de la Universidad de Salamanca, ha publicado como editor, con Fernando Pedroza de la UBA, el libro «Revisiting the Falklands-Malvinas Question» en la editorial del ILAS de la Universidad de Londres.

A partir de las perspectivas que ofrecen colaboradores de orígenes nacionales y disciplinarios muy diferentes, en esta publicación se aborda el conflicto por la posesión de las Malvinas que se libró en una zona remota tanto geográfica como geopolíticamente en una época de guerra fría y también de tensiones dentro y entre los Estados del bloque occidental. El libro indaga las razones de la trágica ocurrencia del conflicto y en el procesamiento de sus consecuencias dentro y fuera de los Estados soberanos que sufrieron y sufren todavía la exacerbación de las identidades nacionalistas en la resolución de sus diferencias y los consiguientes retos que hay que afrontar.
